Explore Niseko

Skiing and Snowboarding

Haven Niseko sits on the Hirafu side of Niseko United, four linked resorts on one all-mountain pass. Grand Hirafu alone has groomed runs, tree skiing and a terrain park, and the nearest lift is 500m from the door.

Horseback Riding

Swap the gondola for a horse; first-timers welcome. Starting at the foot of Mount Yotei, this hour includes a 45-minute guided ride and 15 minutes of meeting and befriending the horses.

Snowshoeing & Backcountry Guiding

For a quieter day, the concierge arranges snowshoe tours and guided backcountry outings with local guides. The route and meeting points may change based on weather conditions; check ahead in peak weeks.

Night Skiing　

When the light goes, Grand Hirafu keeps going, with night skiing on lit slopes through the main season. Ski or snowboard until dinner, then walk downhill to Powder Room, 50m from the door.

Photography

Want keepsakes of your powder runs? A professional photographer follows you down the slopes for action shots, then frames the portraits against Niseko’s mountains. Book a solo shoot, a couple’s session or for the whole group; the Luxe Concierge arranges it all.

Ski Lessons

Gentle lower slopes and ski school lessons at Grand Hirafu, for the ones still finding their edges. The Luxe Concierge can assist with booking lessons and rental before you land, so day one starts on the snow. Book early for the Christmas and Lunar New Year weeks.

GREEN SEASON

Outdoor Sports & Sightseeing Tours

Ziplining

Three ziplines, 2,591m of cable and a top speed past 110km/h: Hanazono ZipFlight is a scenic summer shortcut down Niseko Annupuri. A tip: the zipline is also open for a limited time in spring from March to April.

Rafting

Spring snowmelt makes the Shiribetsu River Niseko’s best-known rafting run, livelier in May and June and calmer later in the summer, when families join in. Most trips take half a day, so start early and be back for lunch in Hirafu afterwards. The Luxe Concierge books the operator and the transport.

Golfing

In summer, Niseko trades powder for fairways. Several golf courses are a short drive from Hirafu, and Mount Yotei watches over most of them. The Luxe Concierge books the tee times and the car, leaving you free to blame the view for any wayward shots.

Padel　

Hanazono Resort runs padel on glass-and-mesh courts from mid-May to late November, with rental racquets and classes for all experience levels. It’s a short drive from Haven Niseko; the Luxe Concierge can assist with booking the court and the car, just ask.

Hiking

Mount Yotei, at 1,898m, is the classic Hokkaido summer climb and a full day up and back from the trailheads around its base. The trails on Niseko Annupuri are gentler and beginner-friendly; whichever you choose, the Luxe Concierge can arrange a guide.

Cycling

In summer, the ski slopes give way to cycling country; go along quiet roads around the base of Mount Yotei and through the farmland between the villages. The Luxe Concierge can arrange bike hire and suggest routes that suit the group, from gentle loops to a proper workout.
